Terry's Last Stand?

Well almost, the Scottish Annual Dinner is the last official engagement for the World Speedway Riders’ Association president before the handing over of the Chain of Office to the President elect Peter Saunders at the WSRA Annual Dinner.

 I can report that the year went well for Terry performing his many duties in his usual cheerful outgoing manner, attending as many events and functions, both WSRA and otherwise, as would seem a little more than humanly possible.

Terry's wife and the Associations first lady for the year, Jean, has had a wonderful time thoroughly enjoining all the travelling and not too much of the responsibility. It must be such a relief for the president if their partner is enjoying giving up a year of their life to rush around not just Great Britain but the world, hard work but enjoyable I am sure. This year has been something I am sure neither will ever forget.

 Hopefully Terry has come through his year without becoming too exhausted if these shots taken in Scotland are anything to go by he was still going strong right up to the last minute of his year.

After this last event they were off back home to prepare for their final duty and the premier event of the World Speedway Riders' Association year, the AGM followed by the Annual Dinner Dance held again this year at the Marriot Hotel, Leicester.
