The moment of hand over must be emotional for both the outgoing and the incoming presidents. The outgoing must be looking forward to getting his life back but sad at no longer being the representative of the Association's membership. The incoming President must be excited at the prospect if a little apprehensive.

This is only my thoughts on the matter but one can only wonder at the dignity that is always displayed.
