had the privilege of meeting Aub Lawson's son John and grandson Jason. They visited my home to browse through my collection of old Speedway magazines and books. John was delighted to discover in a 1951 Speedway News a photo of him in a miniature Austin Speedcar at Sydney showground. I enclose a photo of the occasion. I was pleased to help John and Jason, who are trying to build up a collection of memoirs of Aub, with articles they had not seen before.

I have also been able to track down the family of Syd Littlewood, the former Newcastle and Norwich rider. Syd's, wife Gladys is now in her 96th year and lives close to her son Trevor son  in a Brisbane suburb. More on that later.
